You can even flex your creative muscle and fashion your own lines! Please leave a message in this thread or DM me if you're willing, and thanks in advance.ģ) Would you like to contribute a few lines right here, right now? I've put together a list of the new default calls and examples of how they appear in the game below, so post away! There's only a couple of things to keep in mind.
It's as easy as selecting, cutting, and pasting lines from the Playbook into another Word document.
does anyone want to help build out a custom pbp file? I could really use the help, and you can take pride in knowing you're giving back to the Action hoops community. Please leave a message in this thread or DM me if you have - I'd like a copy to integrate into the Playbook.Ģ) Here's my semi-annual request (some would say exercise in futility) for volunteers. I've got thousands of lines in the Playbook at this point assembled from all manner of sources, but I'm always looking for more. This year HQ added an additional 50 default pbp calls to the file (many of which functionally are the same or similar to pre-existing calls), raising the number from 200 to 250.ġ) Has anyone customized, even partially, the latest pbp file, and in particular the 50 new calls? I'm always looking to build out the AMG PBPlaybook, a simple Word doc which collects pbp variants and organizes them within the 250 default call structure. These goodies would be awarded after the successful completion of the project, of course.ĭec 06, 2019Hey gang, I'm doing some on-again, off-again project work customizing the pbp file for the 2019 version of the game (a slooooow process if there ever was one). Taking my case as an example, I'd approach Action in writing with the idea of a custom PBP file, and if they thought the project was of sufficient merit, I could promise X additional participants something like a copy of next years game, a six pack of seasons of their choice, a branded T-Shirt/Hat, $25 Action gift certificates, etc. I've not pitched this to HQ, but I'd love for them to support an incentive program that encourages community contributions across their product line, geared towards those projects that are difficult to get off the ground, take considerable amounts of time to complete, and/or don't engender upfront interest in assisting from fellow gamers. Point is, it's a variety of reasons, no doubt including others I haven't written here.
#No pbp file selected how to
Are they too busy to give of their time for a specific project that's not compelling to them and/or feels like too much effort to do/figure out how to do? Seems likely. Are they too busy with life outside of the Action universe? Absolutely. Are they too busy playing the game(s)? Sure. I'm not buying that everyone who reads this thread is too busy doing their own homebrew projects (although it's perfectly reasonable to assume some are).
#No pbp file selected Pc
So for example in my computer, it's here: C:\Program Files\Action PC 2019 BasketballĢ) I'm grateful you appreciate the effort, and for those others who've expressed the same or feel that way and haven't done so publicly.
#No pbp file selected install
That said, in order to install the file, simply download and put it into your game folder (which is also where the default PBP file resides). If someone wants to confirm here, go right ahead.
As of the 2019 version the module is geared to 250 default calls and not the 200 I used back when that was the setup. That's my passion.ġ) If you are using the newest version of the game, then I don't believe my older custom PBP files will work. I spend my time creating homebrew teams in the 70s and 80s when I have spare time. I would use it if I figured out how to do it.Ģ) It's not that we don't appreciate the effort, but I think all of us spent way too much time on our own efforts with basketball and football. 1) can you explain to me how I download and use the larger PBP file you have created.
